Changing Community Norms

The West Contra Costa Alcohol Policy Coalition (WCAP) is dedicated to raising awareness about alcohol and drug misuse within West County communities. To support this goal, the coalition provides tailored community presentations that address the specific interests and concerns of local residents.

Community organizations, such as school parent-teacher associations, churches, and health and prevention centers, can request these presentations through the contact form on the coalition’s website. Developing a community norms presentation begins with a 30-60 minute consultation with the host organization to assess its specific needs. Based on this input, the coalition customizes a slide deck and collaborates with the organization to arrange a meeting venue, whether in-person or virtual. Any additional requests or special considerations can be addressed through scheduled meetings with the coalition coordinator or via email.
